Vancouver to Calgary – Solo Walk
Fundraiser for The Indian Residential School Survivor Society
Please join me on my solo walk from Vancouver, British Columbia, to Calgary, Alberta, donating to The Indian Residential School Survivors Society. This walk honours the Indigenous People affected by the residential school system, by which their journey of courage and strength fuels my mental health recovery. No one can ever fully understand the impact of this horrendous black mark in history except those who lived it and are still living it today.
Mental health healing is a long and challenging process that must be walked by each person affected, primarily alone, before any assistance is provided. I have chosen to walk alone on this 1,200 km journey. Walking is an intricate part of my life that has assisted me through some very dark moments and continues to shed light along my recovery journey.
